A Question About Prostitution

Is there any reason not to legalize, tax, and regulate prostitution?

Please note: By "prostitution", I am here referring to the sex trade and not to the far more common phenomenon of politicians, preachers, and pundits selling themselves out.

No takers?

Sorry I can't help you out -- I can't think of any reason not to legalize, tax, and regulate prostitution...

By tax you mean income tax?

I don't see any moral problems with prostitution given that it doesn't pose a health risk. I've always heard there's less risk of disease when it's legalized, but I haven't researched that myself.

No problem at all. At least then those Rebublican politicans can come clean and stop lurking about in dark alleys.

I haven't heard any complaints from my neighbors in northern Nevada. :)
