Five Brilliant and Beautiful Women of the Net

It's 3:30 in the morning, I'm daffy with insomnia, and a persistent idea is dancing in my head. I can't think of anything else at the moment except for that one idea going round and around like a stuck song. The idea? That within the last month or so, I have met online at least five -- count 'em! Five! -- brilliant and beautiful women of the net.

A part of me recognizes that's the sort of true but silly idea that gets stuck in our heads when we're short on sleep, and that it's not really worth writing about the fact I don't normally meet four brilliant people inside of one month -- online or off -- let alone five. But another part of me is so impressed with both the remarkably beautiful personalities and extraordinary intelligence of these five people that I just want to mention them somehow. So here they are -- Five brilliant and beautiful women of the net:

Amuirin

C. L. Hanson

Eryn Leigh

Nita Jatar Kulkarni

Ordinary Girl

Something tells me that if I were fully awake I would remember at least two more people who have very recently impressed me with the beauty of their spirits and the intelligence of their minds. But I'm probably doing good just to link to the right websites for now. Anyway, they're all worth a visit. Enjoy!

UPDATE: OK, I'm going to break down and update this list with one more beautiful and brilliant lady that I just recently met on the net. After I got some sleep the other day, I woke up realizing I had unfairly left her out. But then I said to myself, "If I start adding everyone I would like to add to the list, there might be no end involved -- because I'm in the process of seeking out brave new blogs these days, and I'm bound to run across more brilliant and beautiful women. So, instead of updating my list, maybe it's better to just leave it as it is." That's what I said to myself. Then the guilt set in. Guilt that I was doing an injustice to her by not listing her. So, I've broken down and will now finally mention the brilliant and beautiful woman who should have made my list in the first place: Axinia. And with that, I promise there will be no further remorseful updates to this post no matter how much guilt I must carry for leaving out deserving people.

Nita, you're most very welcome! When I wrote that post I imagined how fun it would be if I could introduce you to each other and then sit back to watch the exchange of ideas!

By the way, thank you for adding me to your blogroll! I'm honored.

Ordinary Girl, Thank you so much for calling me "Sweet"! It's obvious to me you have not been talking to my ex-wife!

C.L., On the contrary, it's you who wow me!

Wow (again), thanks!!! (once more)

here's where you brace yourself for some over-the-top Mae Westian gushing.

You sugar-coated-doll-Adonis! Pucker up! Brilliant AND beautiful? Is it Christmas? What a nice thing to come home to...

I will definitely need to give these all a read, I read Eryn on here religiously; didn't know she had another blog.

Amuirin, you're gonna spoil me: If I'm going to get kissed by you just for stating the obvious, I'm going to start walking around pointing out the obvious wherever I find it!
