Should the US Take in More Iraqi Refugees?

Should the United States take in more Iraqi refugees? The US has a modest goal of taking in 7,000 refugees by September. But there are an estimated two million refugees from the war and civil strife. Is the US acting responsibly in taking in only 7,000 of those? What do you think?

Some Scandinavian countries have agreed to take tens of thousands of Iraq refugees. These countries had nothing to do with creating the situation that resulted in 2 million Iraqi refugees needing a place to go. The US government should not only be accepting more refugees but should be embarassed that a country like Sweden is accepting more Iraqi refugees than we are.
